Our 2 nights stay here was excellent. The room and facilities are 5 star. The food are great and all the staff wear a smile on their faces and the service was fast and excellent. We had a great time of sleep and relaxation. We are always excited to go back to our room to relax, very peaceful and quite stress free location. We don't want to leave this Resort. We will surely recommend your Resort to our family and friends. Excellent Job Angkla team.
The hotel is situated on the most beautiful Nacpan Beach near El Nido, Palawan, about 40 minutes drive from the airport. The round trip airport transfer was included with the reservation. Last 2 km of the drive is on a very bumpy dirt road, …
Our experience at this hotel on Nacpan Beach was truly delightful. The modern and technologically advanced rooms right on the beachfront offer an unbeatable location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, complete with excellent massages and …
Not worth the price. This hotel is priced as luxury but it’s far to the standards of luxury hotels. A couple of things that are not great:
1. Random wild dogs everywhere (they are harmless but it’s not great to see them everywhere and drinking from the pool)
2. Prices for tours and massages are 2x what you pay in town for the same service
3. The hotel is c.30-45min from town - the main issue is the road is extremely bumpy making it highly impractical to leave the hotel area
4. The lights in the room have a touch screen that works horribly (we had to call reception 3 times to get help to turn them off)
5. Our room has an iron board in the middle of the bathroom or no body soap - just a soap bar.
6. My wife got food poisoning on the first night after having dinner at the restaurant.
We were told by a friend who lives on the island to go spend a day at the hotel as we could pay a fee and use their facilities and access their beautiful beach and redeem the money against food or drink. We drove over an hour to get there in the heat, only to be told by reception that they will not let us in as they are expecting a large group (no large group showed up the whole time we were there). We explained to reception that we were told that you always accept people and that we have come a long way ...and finally they agreed! Whilst seated near the bar on a table, we were mostly ignored. No instructions from reception or the waiting staff and no one came to take our drinks order for over half and hour and they were not busy at all! We finally got the attention of the waiting staff and ordered drinks and asked how it would work for payment and facilities use. The service was just terrible no one came over to check on us, or ask if we wanted anything, but all other tables were looked after especially where the group had a male lead! That really shocked me!
We also noticed that those that walked in off the beach into the restaurant were allowed straight away and they were not refused entry the way we were initially.
Eventually I got a bit fed up and complained to one of the staff members about the terrible treatment we were receiving compared to other walk-in guests. They apologised and their tune changed.
The food was okay... Nothing to shout out about. The beach was lovely.
We sat down around 7pm last night. Waited for about 10 minutes. No one dropped off a menu or greeted us. The staff was not busy. They were hanging out and staring at the water.
It had a cool vibe, but we left after 10 minutes without anyone ever coming by. Sunmai (just before Angkla) has the same view and people greet you at the door. Plus, Sunmai's food was great.
The food on the restaurant was not worth its price. The hummus was like dry mashed potatoes and the pita was like store bought ones. The grilled pork has some nice flavors but very tough. Most disappointing was the Beef Kare kare, half of the meat was very tough and dry.
Pros:
-good flavors
-nice view when dining
Cons:
-price not worth it
-some flies in the area

My stay at Angkla Resort was an exceptional experience, making it one of the best hotels and beaches I have ever visited. The five nights I spent here were marked by a stay in a room that was not only modern and comfortable but also boasted a very unique and cozy design. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable.
The staff at Angkla Resort were a highlight of my visit. Their friendliness and professionalism contributed significantly to the VIP feeling I enjoyed throughout my stay. Every interaction with them was pleasant and genuine, enhancing the overall experience.
The quality of food at the resort, especially the lunch and dinner, was outstanding. Each meal was a delightful experience of delicious, high-quality cuisine. However, I did notice that the breakfast, while great, had limited options.
The resort's beach is a beautiful and peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxation and unwinding. The amenities provided in the room added to the comfort and convenience of my stay.
Additionally, the transportation service from and to the airport was a significant plus, making the travel hassle-free. The warm welcome I received during check-in set a positive tone for the entire stay.
In summary, Angkla Resort is a fantastic destination in the Philippines, offering a blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty. It's a place where every detail is thoughtfully considered to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience.
The resort is gorgeous, the design is clean and neutral and it must have one of the finest and cleanest sand I have ever encountered. There's not one pebble that could stub your toe. …
